JOAPOE is an international scholarly journal dedicated to rethinking the relationship between philosophy and education through a praxis-oriented lens. The journal welcomes work that engages with contemporary educational issues not only at a theoretical level, but also in relation to pedagogical practice, ethical responsibility, institutional life, curriculum, teacher education, and emerging educational challenges.

We particularly encourage submissions that address themes such as:

  • philosophy of education and praxis
  • ethics and justice in education
  • educational technology and algorithmic governance
  • curriculum, pedagogy, and democratic education
  • teacher formation and professional judgment
  • epistemic justice, dialogue, and critical thinking
  • cultural, social, and political dimensions of education

JOAPOE seeks contributions that move beyond abstract discussion and explore how philosophical reflection can illuminate, question, and transform educational life. We welcome theoretical, conceptual, and interdisciplinary studies that contribute to the development of applied philosophy of education as a living and engaged field. This orientation is strongly aligned with the journal’s founding vision of bringing philosophy into active dialogue with educational realities.

Submissions should be prepared in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines and submitted through the journal system.

We invite educators, researchers, and philosophers from diverse contexts to contribute to this growing conversation.
